SUMMARY:Desert Wanderers: December Hikes and Walks
DESCRIPTION:Walking Tour of St. Anthony’s Greek Orthodox Monastery on December 11th\, meeting at 9:20AM in the southwest corner of the parking lot of the Golden Goose on Oracle Rd. We will sign in and form carpools to the monastery. We will walk through the lush grounds and visit eight temples of worship. This is a sacred place for contemplation. To visit they a have strict dress code. Women: long skirt\, long sleeve shirt\, scarf over your head\, no open toe shoes unless with socks. Men: long sleeve shirt\, long pants\, no open toe shoes\, and no baseball caps. For specifics\, check their website: https://stanthonysmonastery.org/pages/day-visitors-guide. If you don’t have these\, they will provide freshly washed items. Devotions will be held in a sitting area. A free will offering can be given in the gift shop.
