Family Lent Event
Sunday, February 15th 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Includes lunch) Outreach Gym
This event is for RLC Families. What constitutes an RLC Family? Anyone of any age who attends RLC or is invited by someone who attends RLC. For example: parents with children, retired couple by themselves or with children or grandchildren, two friends, etc. You get the idea, ALL are welcome!
This event begins with families coming together to share a meal and fellowship. Our meal will be a Jerusalem style grazing table to include: meats, cheeses, humus, tzatziki, meatballs, flatbreads, crackers, fresh fruits, dried fruits, pretzel sticks, olives, olive oil for dipping bread.
After lunch, groups will check in at the welcome table to receive supplies, and then it’s off to the photo booth for a group pic. From there you will follow your map to travel through seven stations that will transform Holy Week into an unforgettable adventure where you can see, hear, touch, taste and feel what it was like to travel beside Jesus. These stations will include some take home items (especially for kids). At your first stop, the Jerusalem Bookstore each household will receive the Wondering to Jerusalem Lent Devotion book geared towards kids, but a learning tool for all ages. This book includes 40 devotionals, one for each day of Lent. Each day includes a key daily verse, a devotion, wondering questions to spark imagination and reflection and a closing prayer. Throughout the book there are pages to write your wonderings, notes, questions and more.
Due to needing many different supplies, we require you to RSVP for this event no later than Friday, February 6th using the link below. We can’t wait to see you and explore with you!!
