Children's Ministry at RLC
At Resurrection Lutheran we believe it is vital to provide programs for children ages 3 years – 11 years (preschool – elementary) that create a nurturing community for households to grow in faith, providing opportunities for conversation and formation not only for the child but also for the entire household. By providing early childhood faith formation opportunities with our families, we can help children on their journey to form a loving and personal relationship with Jesus and build a strong foundation for lifelong discipleship.
Sunday School
Here at Resurrection we offer a Christ Centered Sunday School program using Group Publishing’s curriculum Simply Loved. This program content is relational, experiential, applicable and learner based. This program occurs during our 10:45 AM worship service. The children are escorted to the Child Development Center (CDC) at the beginning of worship. Once there, they are grouped into the following classes:
3 year olds – 2nd Grade
3rd - 5th Grade
Class ends at approximately 11:45 AM. Come and join us while we discover just how much we are loved by Jesus!!!
Looking To Serve?
We are always looking for people who love kids to be lead teachers, and crew guides. Some of our amazing people serving our little ones teach once per month or less often; some teach every week. It is so important for the kids to realize that they have a community of adults at their church that love them and care about their faith life! Still not sure if this is for you? Come and observe a class and see what you think.
Lead teacher
Lead a prepared lesson plan given to you in advance. Supplies are set up for you before you arrive on the day you are leading, with everything you need to teach.
Crew Guide
Assist the lead teacher with the children by helping to keep kids on task. Help young children with cutting, gluing, playing games, etc… We do not have a set teaching schedule.

Dive Deeper
June 3rd - 7th, 2024
Join us for an interactive Bible experience! Our youth will be Dive Deeper into Bible stories and learn about God’s unending love through them. They will do this through engaging in large group experience, creative crafts, exciting games, and so much more!

3 years olds — those completing 5th grade for the 2023-2034 school year
Volunteers
Those completing 6th grade for the 2023-2024 year and older.

July 8th - 12th, 2024
Join us for a week of games, local service projects, exciting crafts and of course amazing snacks! This day camp will have us Dive Deeper into the community around us in laughter and service!

June 23rd - 28th, 2024
In Flagstaff we will be partnering with Service-Learning Camps, an organization that will connect us with local service opportunities. We will serve outdoor environments, as well as service opportunities in the city. In the evenings we will be enjoying Flagstaff and all of the great things it has in store. Join us as we Dive Deeper into understanding how God calls us to serve.

July 15-20, 2024
Every three years, thousands of high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.
