High School Ministry
(9th - 12th grade)
At Resurrection Lutheran Church, our High School Ministry is rooted in scripture, service worship, and fellowship, to help foster a transformational relationship between youth and Jesus Christ. We live into this through two specific ministries: Sunday School and Youth Nights.
High School Sunday School
Each Sunday at 10:45-11:45
Sunday Rotation Starting January 7th, 2024
Calling All Youth! Do you like fun? Do you like snacks? Do you like diving into faith with a cohort of your peers? Well then do we have an opportunity for you! Everyone who is in 9-12th grade is invited to join us Sunday mornings in the Youth Room During the 10:45 service for High School Sunday School! We will meet weekly to play games, explore faith, ask questions, and spend time in fellowship.
Buddy Weekend – 1st Sunday of the month
Once a month youth will have the opportunity to be a mentor for our Sunday School kids. On this day we will gather at the CDC, and be paired one-on-one with a Sunday School student to walk through the lesson with them.
Faith Out Loud – 2nd Sunday of the month
Once a month youth will have the opportunity practice leadership by sharing their faith story, and by leading their peers in a short devotional.
Think.Believe.Do. Curriculum - 3rd Sunday of the month
On the third Sunday of the month youth will participate in a study from our T.B.D. Series. "T.B.D. Think. Believe. Do. is the small group resource for churches that trust youth to actively participate in their own faith development and want to embark on this journey with them. It aims to equip students to embrace the ongoing, sustainable process of discipleship."

Youth Adventures
These events include all night events here at church and out on the town, service days, and other events like Axe Throwing. In order to participate in any of our Youth Nights we need a current Youth Ministry Form filled out, click the button below. And families to RSVP to the specific youth night so we can get a head count. Check out the monthly event below!
ELCA Youth Gathering
Every three years, thousands of high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.

Resurrection will be taking High Schoolers to the ELCA Youth Catering in New Orleans this summer, 2024!
Who: Current 8-12th Graders
When: July 15-20th
Cost: Actual Cost $1,800 Families pay $600 Total*
